Sharon was born and raised in Michigan City.

She graduated from Elston Senior High School in 1971 and graduated from Indiana University in 1975 with a BS degree in Elementary Education.

After raising her and Paul's four children, she began to work on Applegate & Company's administrative support staff.  

Outside of work, Sharon is a member of the P.E.O. - BA Chapter of Michigan City (Philanthropic Educational Organization). She enjoys playing tennis and doing aerobics.  Sharon also enjoys traveling and going to the beach with her husband and children.
